Margot is a political scientist from Edmonton, Alberta. Her experiences as a queer woman of colour shape her commitment to creating equitable and just communities for all. She believes that political scientists have a particular duty to contribute to public service and she models that vision through teaching, research, and writing. Margot's scholarship embraces diverse theoretical and empirical approaches and, drawing on bell hooks and Paulo Freire, she is pedagogically committed to the radical possibility of classrooms through democratic education practices.
